When you sign up for our email newsletter, we collect Personal Information from you, such as your email address.

When you participate in one of our surveys, we collect your survey responses.

When you create an account and purchase protected DivX content using the DivX Player, the DivX Player application tracks and logs requests to view the protected content in order for us to enforce the usage rights set by the content owner. In order for your copy of the protected content to play using the DivX Player, a unique identifier is inserted into your copy of the protected content.

Information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with, a particular individual, including, but not limited to, his or her name, signature, social security number, physical characteristics or description, address, telephone number, passport number, driver’s license or state identification card number, insurance policy number, education, employment, employment history, bank account number, credit card number, debit card number, or any other financial information, medical information, or health insurance information.

Internet or other electronic network activity information (e.g., browsing history, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an Internet Web site, application, or advertisement).

Our email newsletter uses single-pixel or transparent image HTML-based emails, which allows us to track how many people open the emails we send out. This information is only collected if you subscribe to our email newsletter.

Audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information

When you contact us via telephone and leave a voicemail, our system records your voicemail.

You can decline to provide us with your Personal Information, however this may limit your ability to access certain features of our site and our software. To provide a safe and enjoyable experience for our users, some areas of our site are accessible only while logged into an account. We will inform you at the point of collecting information from you whether you are required to provide the information to us.

The Company is based in the United States. Your Personal Information may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be different than the laws in your country.

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following your Internet browser help file directions. If you choose to disable Cookies, some areas of our Site may not work properly.

You may request deletion of your Personal Information by us, but please note that we may be required to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete any information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives.
