Cinema on Web Partners With DivX to Securely Distribute Bollywood Films Online Simultaneously with Theatrical Release

SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–May 3, 2005–Cinema On Web (also known as GO COW GO), an online cinema multiplex and Web broadcasting network, today announced the online release of first-run films in secure DivX(R) format simultaneously on the web with their theatrical releases. The first set of films in the program include Bollywood blockbusters like “Page 3,” “CU at 9” and “Mumbai Express.” These films can be purchased at DivX and COW websites.

Powered by the DivX Open Video System, the new service from Cinema on Web is also among the first to deliver its cinematic content encrypted, licensed and encoded at the highest level of visual quality. Sneak previews of the most popular Bollywood scenes are also available in high-quality DivX format.
