DivX Rounds Out Management Team With Key Product and Marketing Executives

San Diego, CA–March 21, 2007–DivX, Inc. (NASDAQ: DIVX) today announced the addition of two new executives to the company’s management team. Patrice Lagrange, formerly of Adobe Systems, is the new Vice President and Group Business Manager, Media Languages and Mark Viken, a veteran marketing executive who spent more than 25 years in management at Sony Electronics, will serve as Vice President, Marketing.
The arrival of seasoned executives Mr. Viken and Mr. Lagrange supports the company’s shift in structure to product groups headed by group business managers, with cross-functional marketing, sales, and engineering groups.

As Vice President and Group Business Manager, Media Languages, Mr. Lagrange will lead a team focused on the development and distribution of digital media tools and technologies, with the aim of creating a “common media language” that enables true interoperability across devices and platforms. Prior to joining DivX, Mr. Lagrange most recently served as Director, Hosted Services at Adobe Systems. Mr. Lagrange has over 20 years of experience in product management and strategic planning, and previously spent time at Silicon Graphics, Intel and Cap Gemini. He holds a graduate degree in computer science from the National Superior School of Aerospace, France, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

In his role as Vice President, Marketing, Mr. Viken will oversee all marketing activities at DivX, including segment marketing, public relations, marketing communications and channel marketing. Mr. Viken spent 25 years at Sony Electronics, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of New Business Development and Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing. He also held a variety of senior management positions leading successful product management, marketing, and sales initiatives for Sony’s Information Technology, Digital Imaging and Personal Audio/Video divisions. Mr. Viken was instrumental in establishing and maintaining the company’s leading market position in the United States.
