FREMONT, Calif.–Sept. 8, 2005–InterVideo®, Inc. InterVideo, a DivX Licensed Software partner, has collaborated with DivX, Inc. to create video and audio editing, creation and playback software products that will enable users to take advantage of the interactive new DivX Media Format features available in DivX 6. Key features of the DivX Media Format include interactive video menus, multiple subtitles and alternate audio tracks. By combining DivX 6 with DVD Copy 4, viewers will be able to create high-quality digital media files with interactive features for playback in next-generation consumer electronic devices.

This three-step burning software for making high-quality copies of unencrypted video, music, photo and data files is one of the easiest and most comprehensive duplication applications available. Besides support for the DivX Media format, this latest release of DVD Copy 4 is enhanced with new features including Internet copy support and output support for handheld devices. With Internet copying, users can burn their video files saved to a hard drive or downloaded from the Internet on a DVD or video CD. “DivX 6 is the ideal complement to DVD Copy 4’s new Internet copy capabilities and output support for handheld devices,” said Steve Ro, president and CEO of InterVideo. “The DivX codec can compress an MPEG-2/DVD file to nearly one-tenth its original size without any noticeable loss in quality and the videos may be played back on any DivX Certified device.”

“InterVideo is known for enhancing the value of its products with the latest technologies and has been a DivX partner for several years,” said Kevin Hell, Chief Operating Officer at DivX, Inc. “By incorporating DivX 6 video technology, including the new DivX Media Format with DVD Copy 4, InterVideo not only makes it easier for users to share personal videos with family and friends, it provides significant improvements in the consumer entertainment experience.”
