Convert MPEG to MP4

MPEG-2 is most commonly known as the digital video standard that DVD video is based on. Which is great, but that also comes with some limitations. Unlike an MP4 file, MPEG-2 is not easy to share or watch on mobile devices.

MPEG-2 is a digital video standard upon which DVD and ATSC video is based and refers to video files with TS, VOB, MPG and SVCD extensions. Fortunately, you can convert MPEG-2 video with DivX Converter by buying DivX Pro or the Video Pack with MPEG-2/DVD Plug-in. (Note: The free DivX Software suite includes a free 15-day trial of Video Pack.) Video Pack adds MPEG-2 video support to DivX Converter, which means you can convert unencrypted MPG, TS, VOB and SVCD files—retaining visual quality while drastically reducing video size. Just remember, if a video file is encrypted with copyright protection, it won’t convert in the DivX Converter. MPEG-2 technology
